We helped lifestyle brand OUAI (pronounced “way”) reimagine and redesign their site, bringing this dynamic social juggernaut to life online.

 

 

Founded by celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, OUAI is a lifestyle brand with a distinct, bold voice that strikes the perfect balance between accessible and aspirational. In partnership with their in-house team, we created a mobile-first shopping experience with a unique blend of content and commerce created specifically with OUAI’s digitally-native customers in mind.

To create the perfect digital hub for all things OUAI, the team began by leveraging lifestyle content in big ways throughout the site, making theouai.com a destination for the OUAI of life and a place for the brand voice and values to shine. We put the OUAI community first, bringing the best of IRL shopping to a thumb-friendly digital world through custom modules and experiences, including a quiz that feels like a personal consultation with a OUAI expert, and a unique scent experience complete with bespoke animations that (almost) make you feel like you’re smelling the products for real.

We were especially excited about our custom shoppable collections, which basically turn a site page into a curated shop centered around company values, allowing users to shop according to their interests, lifestyles, hair types, etc. and truly allowing the brand voice to take center stage.
